Always use sunscreen in the morning (AHA increases your skin's sensitivity to the sun) to protect your 1- tretinoin is formulated for use on clean dry skin originally, and its effects are studied using it in that fashion

I have mildly sensitive skin and these days I’m using a glycolic acid cleanser on my off-tret nights, but I can’t handle stronger acids or leave-on treatments yet

I'd say start using the glycolic slowly as well, maybe only twice a week and see how your skin handles it
